Slow Cooker Recipe

Thursday, January 15th, 2009

I have been on the hunt for good crock-pot recipes for a considerable time, and I cannot seem to find anything that I like.

I assume it is because I am extraordinarily picky about what I love to eat, and plenty of the recipes that I come on have something in them that I simply cannot stomach.

I am still looking though , and I’m hoping to come up with at least 10 of them that are truly good and truly straightforward to throw together.

There are just days when I know that I have plenty of work to do and I’d rather spend my spare time with my tiny girl than by cooking a meal. The commonest type are recipes for stew, but all of them have the same ingredients. The issue that I have is that I don’t like cooked onions, and if a recipe requires them, I will not make it.

I love them raw on a burger or hotdog, but I won’t stand to have them in crock-pot recipes.

You may not be as picky as I am and if that is the case, you should not have any problem finding slow cooker recipes that you are going to like to make for your folks. For the main part, you simply add the ingredients to your cooker, turn it on and let it go all day. They have kits that are put together and you customarily find them in the refrigerator section. I may finish up having to find crock-pot recipes that I may change. I’m really not a cook, but I know the way to experiment, even if it suggests ordering pizza some nights when a couple of my creations have not worked out like I had hoped they did. In the mean time, I’ll continue to search for crock-pot recipes that might be in a position to be used, and maybe try some from the greengrocer.
